Our client is a main contractor with live projects in Limerick and is looking to add a Foreman to the site team. The role is hands on and site based, running the trades day to day and keeping the works moving to programme.
Responsibilities
- Running the site day to day and supervising all trades
- Coordinating subcontractors and direct labour against the programme
- Checking works against drawings and specification as they progress
- Sequencing and site logistics alongside the project team
- Flagging issues early and reporting to the Site Manager
- Holding standards on safety, housekeeping and workmanship
- Daily records, site diaries and progress reporting
Requirements
- 5+ years as a Foreman or General Foreman
- Trade background with strong knowledge of construction methods and sequencing
- Able to read drawings and set the works out against them
- Proven ability to run and motivate a site team
- Safe Pass and relevant tickets

An established construction company is seeking an experienced Site Foreman to join a long-term residential development in Midleton, Co. Cork.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Project Manager and will be responsible for maintaining high standards of site organisation, housekeeping, quality and workmanship across the development.
This is a permanent position offering excellent long-term stability. The Midleton project is expected to continue for approximately three years, with further opportunities available across the companys other developments in Cork and throughout Ireland.
Key Responsibilities
- Report directly to the Project Manager and assist with the day-to-day management of the site.
- Supervise subcontractors, tradespeople and general site personnel.
- Maintain excellent standards of site housekeeping, organisation and presentation.
- Monitor the quality of workmanship and ensure works are completed to the required standards.
- Coordinate daily site activities to ensure works progress safely and efficiently.
- Assist with the planning and sequencing of groundworks, structural works and residential construction activities.
- Identify and resolve site issues in coordination with the Project Manager.
- Ensure materials, labour and plant are available when required.
- Monitor progress against the construction programme and highlight potential delays.
- Ensure all works comply with relevant health and safety procedures, drawings and specifications.
- Carry out regular site inspections and assist with snagging and quality-control processes.
- Maintain clear communication with management, subcontractors, suppliers and other members of the project team.
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Site Foreman, Site Supervisor or in a similar construction management position.
- Strong experience working on residential construction projects.
- Good knowledge and practical experience of groundworks.
- Timber-frame construction experience is preferred but is not essential.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, workmanship standards and site quality control.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage subcontractors and coordinate multiple site activities.
- Strong focus on housekeeping, safety, quality and productivity.
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
- A relevant construction qualification, trade background or site management certification would be advantageous.
- Valid Safe Pass and relevant site certifications.
Package
- Starting salary of approximately 65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
