Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Site Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring quality, accuracy, and efficiency across multiple residential projects.
Key Responsibilities
• Monitor and evaluate quality control for subcontractor work.
• Coordinate and review site drawings.
• Set out for subcontractors, including providing gridlines and levels for:
o Groundworks and RC frames
o Foundations, floor slabs, blocklaying, services, and civil works
o House plots on housing projects
• Issue surveys to solicitors and supervise groundworks, civil engineering contractors, and ICF frame contractors.
• Develop strong relationships with subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Maintain accurate site records and quality assurance documentation.
• Prepare method statements and risk assessments for site-specific activities.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety Authority (HSA) standards.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of Uisce Éireann standard details and liaise effectively with Uisce Éireann site supervisors.
Candidate Profile
• Minimum 5–6 years’ experience in a similar role.
• HETAC Level 8 Engineering qualification (or equivalent).
• ICF experience is desirable, particularly with a residential or contracting background.
• Proven ability to meet demanding time and quality targets.
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
• Methodical, detail-oriented, and accurate in all aspects of work.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively at all levels.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take initiative. • Capable of coordinating multiple projects simultaneously.
• Willing to take responsibility for completing designated tasks.
