Our client is an Irish heavy civils contractor with over 40 years delivering road, rail and bridge infrastructure. They are recruiting a Site Agent to lead a multi-year programme of major transport infrastructure works across Dublin, taking charge of a team of engineers and foremen across several live sites. It suits an experienced Site Agent with strong commercial and design and build experience who wants long-term work with an established contractor. A strong benefits package comes with the role.
Responsibilities
- Take overall charge of the works, leading a team of engineers and foremen
- Plan, programme and resource works across multiple sites
- Manage the commercial side alongside the QS, including cost, valuations and variations
- Manage design and build interfaces with the designer
- Act as the main point of contact for the client on site
- Manage subcontractor procurement and performance
- Set and enforce safety, quality and environmental standards
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- 10+ years experience on civil engineering projects
- Commercial experience on civils projects
- Design and build experience preferred
- Strong experience managing teams of engineers and foremen
- Irish or British civils experience
- A stable work history, with real time spent on each project
- Full clean driving licence
