Our client is an established family-run building contractor with over 35 years in the industry, delivering residential developments across the north east. They are recruiting a Site Manager for an apartment development in Drogheda, comprising 120 units. They have a number of further builds running across the north east.

Responsibilities

• Take day to day charge of the site, directing the workforce and specialist subcontractors
• Manage the programme across the development, coordinating the frame, envelope and fit out sequences
• Monitor quality of workmanship and finish across the development
• Take responsibility for health and safety on site, enforcing compliance daily
• Coordinate materials, plant and labour so the site has what it needs when required
• Chair subcontractor meetings covering programme, health and safety and attendances
• Manage BCAR inspections and close out actions and snags
• Pre-snag and deliver completed units for handover
• Liaise with the client, design team and Contracts Manager

Requirements

• Proven Site Manager experience with a main contractor or developer
• Apartment or multi-unit residential experience
• Strong programme management and subcontractor coordination skills
• Good working knowledge of BCAR and QEHS requirements
• Excellent attention to detail on quality and finish
• Valid Safe Pass and relevant site certifications

Role: Senior Site Manager (Hotel Redevelopment)

Salary: €80,000 – €85,000 DOE

My client is a leading Tier 2 main contractor delivering projects across education, healthcare, residential, commercial and industrial sectors. They are recruiting a Senior Site Manager for a hotel redevelopment project in Dublin 2. This is a senior appointment on a 92 unit build, suited to someone with public sector, hotel or residential apartment experience.

Responsibilities

• Take full charge of the site, leading the site management team and specialist subcontractors
• Own delivery of the construction programme, driving progress against key milestones
• Set and enforce health and safety standards across the site
• Monitor quality of build and workmanship throughout, ensuring works are constructed to drawings and specification
• Manage logistics on a constrained city centre site, including deliveries, plant and access
• Chair subcontractor and progress meetings, and report to the Contracts Manager
• Identify cost and programme risks early and escalate them
• Manage BCAR inspections, snagging and handover
• Act as the main point of contact for the client and design team on site

Requirements

• Extensive Site Management experience with a main contractor, at a senior level
• Public sector, hotel or residential project experience
• Experience managing city centre or constrained sites an advantage
• Strong leadership, with the ability to run a site team
• Good working knowledge of BCAR and QEHS requirements
• Valid Safe Pass and relevant site certifications
