Our client is a specialist building and civil engineering contractor working across utilities, energy, roads and rail. They are recruiting an Engineer for the construction of a new 220 kV substation in North County Dublin, a project designated as Strategic Infrastructure Development. The works include ducting, drainage and concrete, so this suits an engineer from a civils background.
Responsibilities
- Managing the day to day engineering function on the ducting, drainage and concrete works
- Working from construction drawings and specifications to ensure works are built as designed
- Checking works against drawings and specification as they progress
- Liaising with the Site Manager and subcontractors on sequencing and site queries
- Keeping accurate site records and as built information
- Supporting quality control and health and safety on site
Requirements
- Engineering experience on civil engineering projects
- Experience with ducting, drainage and concrete works
- Able to read and work from construction drawings
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Valid Safe Pass and relevant site certifications
