Project: Pre-construction and tendering role supporting a varied pipeline of main-contracting projects.
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Estimator to join the pre-construction
team of a leading Irish main contractor.
Key Responsibilities
Review tender documentation, drawings, specifications and scope requirements.
Prepare accurate cost estimates and tender submissions.
Issue enquiries and obtain competitive quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
Analyse quotations and build up rates for labour, plant, materials and subcontract
packages.
Identify tender risks, exclusions, qualifications and value-engineering opportunities.
Work with commercial, construction and pre-construction colleagues during tender
reviews.
Maintain accurate estimating records and market pricing information.
Requirements
Relevant estimating or Quantity Surveying experience within the Irish construction sector.
Main-contractor estimating experience is strongly preferred.
Strong understanding of construction methods, tender documentation and subcontractor
markets.
Excellent numerical, analytical and commercial skills.
Relevant construction or Quantity Surveying qualification preferred.
