Building Staff Solutions (BSS) are seeking applications for the position of General Manager for our client, a Specialist Clean Room Contractor working on a range of projects in Ireland and the UK.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Manager to lead the financial, contractual, and commercial delivery of clean room fit-out projects. This role is critical in ensuring commercial control, cost certainty, and profitability across technically complex, fast-paced, and high-value environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Full commercial management of data centre and clean room fit-out projects.
• Budget control, CVRs, cash flow forecasting, and cost reporting.
• Contract administration, variations, and final accounts.
• Procurement of specialist clean room packages.
• Client valuations and subcontractor payments.
• Commercial risk identification and mitigation.
• Monthly commercial reporting.
• Pre-contract and tender commercial input where required.
Requirements & Experience
• Degree in Construction, Commercial Management, or similar.
• 5–10+ years’ commercial experience in construction or fit-out.
• Experience in data centres, clean rooms, life sciences, or mission-critical projects.
• Strong specialist subcontract knowledge.
• Contract knowledge (NEC, JCT, FIDIC).
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
