Salary: €45,000 – €60,000 Pro Rata DOE
Job Type: Part-Time (3 Days Per Week) – Potential to Progress to Full-Time

Overview

BSS is currently seeking a Health & Safety Advisor on behalf of a leading engineering and equipment services company operating across Ireland. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Health & Safety professional to join a well-established organisation supporting operational and project teams across the Kildare region.

Initially offered on a three-day-per-week basis, the role has the potential to develop into a full-time position for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day Health & Safety support to operational and project teams.
  • Conduct site inspections, audits and workplace safety assessments.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of company H&S policies and procedures.
  • Carry out risk assessments and ensure suitable control measures are in place.
  • Support incident investigations and prepare reports where required.
  • Deliver toolbox talks and safety briefings to site personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with Irish Health & Safety legislation and company standards.
  • Maintain accurate H&S records and documentation.
  • Liaise with management, site personnel and external stakeholders on safety matters.
  • Promote a positive safety culture throughout the organisation.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree qualification in Occupational Health & Safety or related discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Health & Safety role within construction, engineering, utilities, plant hire, maintenance or industrial environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Irish Health & Safety legislation.
  • Experience conducting site audits and risk assessments.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills.
  • Full clean driving licence.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Desirable

  • Experience working with contractors and engineering service teams.
  • Manual Handling Instructor, IOSH or NEBOSH qualifications.
  • Experience within plant, machinery, industrial or heavy equipment environments.
