Role: Health & Safety Officer
Location: Wexford, Co Wexford
Salary: Starting at 45k depending on experience
BSS is looking for a Health & Safety Officer in Wexford Co Wexford
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
- Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and training programs.
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety legislation, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, producing detailed reports and recommending corrective actions.
- Promote a strong safety culture across all levels of the project and workforce.
- Liaise with management, contractors, and external bodies to maintain high standards of safety performance.
Requirements:
- Third-level qualification in Health and Safety or a related discipline (e.g., Level 7 or higher).
- Valid Safe Pass and Manual Handling certificates.
- Previous experience in a similar Health and Safety role within the construction industry in Ireland.
