Salary: €85,000–€90,000 DOE + Package
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

About the Company

Our client is a specialist Irish contractor delivering demolition, piling, basement construction and reinforced concrete frame projects across Leinster, typically valued between €1m and €5m.

The Role

Lead the successful delivery of two concurrent structural concrete and civils projects commencing in August.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overall responsibility for project delivery.
  • Manage programme, quality, safety and budget.
  • Coordinate site teams and subcontractors.
  • Recuit and manage Foreman/Site manager on each Project
  • Attend client meetings and manage stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the commercial team.

Requirements

  • Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or similar.
  • 5+ years Project Management experience.
  • Background in civils, RC frame, piling or basement construction.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Full driving licence.

Overview

BSS is recruiting a Project Manager on behalf of a well-established building contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality construction projects throughout Leinster.

The successful candidate will initially be responsible for the delivery of a large-scale fit-out and refurbishment project within a food processing facility, managing the project from inception through to completion. Reporting to the Contracts Manager and Company Director, this role offers an excellent opportunity to join a growing contractor with strong long-term career prospects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage projects from pre-construction through to completion and handover.
  • Develop and manage project programmes to ensure delivery to agreed timelines.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to senior management and clients.
  • Coordinate construction activities, subcontractors, suppliers, and design teams.
  • Manage technical submittals, RFIs, procurement schedules, and project documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with BCAR requirements, building regulations, and project specifications.
  • Oversee subcontractor performance and ensure works are completed safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.
  • Chair and attend project progress meetings with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
  • Lead site coordination meetings and ensure effective communication between all project stakeholders.
  • Monitor labour resources, materials, and project costs to ensure efficient project delivery.
  • Prepare and issue weekly progress reports and project updates.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and project teams.
  • Promote a culture of quality, safety, and customer service excellence across all project activities.

Requirements

  • Degree or Higher Diploma in Construction Management, Project Management, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Architecture, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a Project Manager role within construction, fit-out, or refurbishment projects.
  • Strong understanding of M&E coordination and installation management.
  • Previous experience delivering commercial, industrial, fit-out, or refurbishment projects.
  • BCAR experience would be a distinct advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, MS Project, and project reporting systems.
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver projects to demanding deadlines.
  • Full clean driving licence.
