Project Manager (ESB Frameworks) – Wexford

BSS are recruiting on behalf of our client, A leading Civil Engineering & Utilities Contractor, for an experienced
Project Manager to deliver ESB framework projects across Wexford.
The Role
Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will manage ESB utility infrastructure projects, leading
site teams and ensuring safe, timely and profitable delivery.
Key Responsibilities
– Manage ESB framework projects from commencement to completion.
– Coordinate site crews, subcontractors and suppliers.
– Liaise with ESB, local authorities and stakeholders.
– Deliver projects safely, on programme and within budget.
– Prepare progress reports and attend client meetings.
– Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental standards.
Requirements
– Previous Project Management experience within the Irish utilities or power sector.
– Experience delivering ESB framework or similar utility projects.
– PICW (Person in Charge of Works) qualification essential.
– Minimum Level 8 qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
– Experience managing multiple site crews and client relationships.
– Full clean driving licence.

Salary: €90,000 – €100,000 + package (DOE)

Overview

A leading civil engineering and utilities contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee water infrastructure projects across the Greater Dublin Area. This role will involve full project lifecycle management on critical utilities works.

Key Responsibilities

– Manage water infrastructure projects from planning through to completion

– Oversee site teams, subcontractors, and project stakeholders

– Ensure delivery in line with programme, budget, and quality standards

– Liaise with clients, local authorities, and utility providers

– Manage project documentation, reporting, and compliance requirements

– Ensure strict adherence to health & safety regulations

– Monitor project risks and implement mitigation strategies

– Coordinate design, procurement, and construction phases

– Drive commercial performance in collaboration with QS teams

Requirements

– Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering or related discipline to Level 8 

– 5+ years’ experience in a Project Manager role within civil engineering

– Strong experience in water or utilities infrastructure projects

– Proven track record delivering projects on time and within budget

– Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills

– Strong knowledge of Irish construction and utility regulations

– Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors
