Building Staff Solutions (BSS) are currently recruiting for a Regional Operations Manager in Dublin for our client, an expanding Specialist Roofing & Building Envelope Contractor to work on Large Construction Projects throughout Ireland and Europe.

What you need to do

  • Lead and manage the internal and external operations teams and ensure that all projects, deliveries and service jobs are delivered in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Develop a Robust European Supply Chain and Subcontractor Network 
  • Work with the contracts department to ensure proper resource planning and work scheduling for installation projects.
  • Ensure customer contract queries and disputes are dealt with in a timely and effective manner and brought to a proper resolution.
  • Work closely with the Associate Directors to deliver commercial targets through order bank- planning and coordination.
  • Manage the order bank and ensure that communication between the different departments and sites is coordinated.
  • Manage and develop operational teams and provide mentoring and support where required.
  • Ensure that all staff adhere to Health and Safety guidelines as laid down by company H&S Function and the client.
  • Overall responsibility for the financial delivery of operational budgets and targets.
  • Attending presentations and meetings as required from time to time.
  • Drive the One company approach in all areas.
  • Ensure delivery of service to client meets and exceeds expectations.
  • Review estimates and revisions for completeness and accuracy.
  • Review construction documents and understand scope of work.

What you need to have

  • 10 years experience Managing Large Construction Projects €10M+
  • Proven experience in operations management, preferably with construction experience. 
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to organise, allocate priorities and manage workload. 
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. 
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to effectively delegate as appropriate.
  • Ability to analyse technical information, read and understand construction drawings.
  • Experience and ability to understand and manage the financial and commercial considerations of a growing and evolving business.
