Senior Civil Engineer – Power Infrastructure & Civil Engineering 

Location: Greater Dublin Area 
Company Utilities / Power Infrastructure Contractor
Salary: €70,000 – €90,000 + package (depending on experience)

Our client, is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join their Power Infrastructure division in Dublin. The successful candidate will support the delivery of overhead line, civils, trenching, ducting, and cabling works across ESB and power network projects.

This role will suit a Senior Civil Engineer with strong utilities, infrastructure, or power sector experience looking to progress within a leading infrastructure contractor delivering major projects throughout Ireland.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate civil engineering activities on power infrastructure projects
  • Manage subcontractors, direct labour, and site teams to ensure efficient project delivery
  • Supervise trenching, ducting, reinstatement, cabling, and associated civils works
  • Ensure all works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications, and programme requirements
  • Carry out setting out and quality control duties on site
  • Maintain accurate site records, progress reports, and as-built information
  • Liaise closely with project managers, clients, ESB representatives, and stakeholders
  • Ensure strict compliance with HSEQ standards and company procedures
  • Assist with project planning, resource allocation, and programme management
  • Identify and resolve technical and operational issues on site

Requirements

  • Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or related discipline
  • 5+ years’ experience in civil engineering or utilities infrastructure projects
  • Experience working on ESB, utilities, or power infrastructure projects desirable
  • Strong knowledge of trenching, ducting, reinstatement, and underground services
  • Excellent setting out and surveying experience
  • Proficient in reading drawings and technical specifications
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Safe Pass and Manual Handling required
  • Full clean driving licence
