A well-established residential main contractor is seeking an experienced Site Manager for a housing development in County Laois with over 12 months of work remaining.
The successful candidate will have strong residential construction experience with particular knowledge of groundworks, infrastructure, drainage, and coordination of early-stage site activities, while also managing the project through to completion.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily site operations on a busy residential development
- Coordinate subcontractors, labour, and site logistics
- Oversee groundworks, drainage, roads, and external works packages
- Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, and to specification
- Liaise with project management, design teams, and client representatives
- Maintain high standards of health & safety and quality control
- Monitor programme progress and resolve site issues proactively
- Ensure all site records and reporting are maintained correctly
Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience in a Site Manager role
- Strong residential construction background essential
- Proven experience managing groundworks and infrastructure packages
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- Ability to drive programme and manage subcontractors effectively
- Trade or construction-related qualification preferred
- Valid Safe Pass and relevant site certifications required
