The Ireland Strategic Investment Fund (ISIF) said today it has already exceeded its original target of funding 25,000 homes by 2030, significantly ahead of schedule. Building on this progress, ISIF has now set a new target of funding an additional 25,000 homes by 2030, bringing the total to 50,000. The Ireland Strategic Investment Fund, part of the National Treasury Management Agency (NTMA), also today announced four new housing investment commitments totalling €250m to accelerate the delivery of more new homes across Ireland.

2. Government agrees to proceed with Cork docklands redevelopment despite rising cost (Source: Irish Examiner)
The Government has approved plans to progress the Cork Docklands redevelopment project. On Tuesday, Cabinet confirmed the redevelopment would go ahead. It had been expected to cost approximately €595m when the plan was first mooted five years ago.The Cork Docklands Enabling Infrastructure Project is to deliver new public realm roads, parks, and other cultural spaces for the city, with the proposals expected to open up space for 10,000 new houses and 25,000 new jobs.

3. Derelict 200-year-old Leitrim church transformed into €3.25m construction hub creating 15 jobs (Source: Irish Independent)
The €3.25m investment has transformed a derelict 200-year-old church into an impressive 10,000 sq ft innovation, R&D and science hub and is expected to create 15 new roles. The Future Cast Innovation, Research and Development and Education Centre in Manorhamilton was officially opened today (Friday, June 19th) by Minister for Enterprise, Tourism and Employment Peter Burke and attended by Minister of State at the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science Marian Harkin.
