Role: Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineer

Our client is a growing Irish-owned mechanical contractor delivering heating, ventilation, air conditioning and building management systems across commercial projects, working with a number of leading brands in the sector. They are looking for a Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineer to install, service and repair systems across their client sites, with strong progression on offer as the business grows.
Responsibilities
- Install refrigeration and air conditioning systems in line with client and building requirements
- Diagnose and repair faults in existing systems
- Carry out routine and preventative maintenance to avoid breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan
- Fault-finding, diagnostics and troubleshooting, with quality workmanship
- Advise clients on system improvements and energy efficiency
- Work with project managers and other stakeholders to deliver the right solution for each client
- Complete job documentation, including work done, parts used and follow-up recommendations
- Respond to occasional emergency call-outs and after-hours work
- Work in line with health & safety legislation and company procedures
Requirements
- Fully qualified Refrigeration/HVAC Technician with a completed Refrigeration Apprenticeship
- Minimum 3 to 4 years post-trade experience
- F-Gas certification (essential)
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, including electrical and mechanical components
- Safe Pass and Manual Handling
- Full clean Irish driving licence
