The Role

BSS is recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor for an established commercial plastering contractor delivering large-
scale residential projects across Dublin. The role will take commercial responsibility for 30+ live projects while
managing and supporting two Quantity Surveyors.

Key Responsibilities
 Commercial oversight of 30+ live projects from handover through to final account.
 Manage, mentor and allocate workload across two Quantity Surveyors.
 Manage valuations, variations, cost control, forecasting and final accounts.
 Monitor labour, material costs, productivity and project profitability.
 Identify commercial risks and ensure additional works are captured and recovered.
 Liaise and negotiate with main contractors, developers and project teams.
 Provide clear commercial reporting and forecasts to senior management.

Requirements
 Strong Senior QS / commercial construction experience.
 Proven ability to manage a high volume of projects and supervise QS staff.
 Strong knowledge of valuations, variations, cost control and final accounts.
 Specialist subcontracting experience is highly desirable.
 Experience in plastering, drylining, fit-out, partitions/ceilings or internal finishes would be advantageous.
 Strong commercial awareness, organisation and negotiation skills.

Senior Quantity Surveyor – Residential Developer | North Dublin

Our client, a well-established residential developer with a strong pipeline of over 1,400 units being buit, they are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team in North Dublin.

This is a key role supporting the commercial delivery of major residential developments, initially focused on two main sites in Dublin, with further large-scale projects commencing later this year.

Responsibilities
– Manage all commercial and contractual aspects of residential developments from pre-construction through delivery.
– Prepare and manage budgets, cost plans, forecasts and valuations.
– Procure and manage subcontractor packages, including tender analysis and appointments.
– Oversee cost control, variations, payments and final accounts.
– Work closely with project managers, site teams and senior management to ensure commercial objectives are achieved.
– Provide commercial reporting and risk management across multiple live projects.
– Support strategic planning for future project pipeline delivery.

Requirements
– Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
– 10+ years’ experience in Quantity Surveying, ideally with a developer or main contractor.
– Strong residential experience preferred; civils/infrastructure experience also of interest.
– Excellent knowledge of contracts, cost management and subcontract procurement.
– Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage multiple project packages.
– Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Job Title – Senior Quantity Surveyor  –  West Dublin   
Location: Tallaght D24

Opportunity has now arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join an established Civils/Utilities Main Contractor with projects in the Greater Dublin area.

What you need to have:
-Qualification/degree in Quantity Surveying, or equivalent, 
-Over seven years of experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor,
-Extensive experience in commercial management and procurement of subcontractors, including chairing regular meetings, measurement, and control cycles, certificates, and accruals calculations. 
-Reporting to Directors and liaising with the Commercial Manager/Managing Quantity Surveyor and the rest of the commercial team and crews,
-Experience in dealing with County Councils
