Our client is a general building main contractor delivering projects across commercial, education, healthcare, pharmaceutical and heritage sectors. They are recruiting a Site Manager to deliver three new warehouses on a brownfield site on the outskirts of Carlow.

The role starts in December or January.

Responsibilities

• Run the site day to day, from groundworks through to handover
• Manage the steel portal frame, cladding and blockwork across the three warehouses
• Deliver the mezzanine fit-out of offices, welfare and meeting rooms in each warehouse
• Manage the external works, including new utilities, kerbing, tarmac, permeable paving and retaining walls
• Direct the workforce, including direct labour and subcontractors
• Deliver the works to programme and budget, flagging delays early
• Lead health and safety and quality on site, including BCAR inspections and records
• Liaise with the client, the design team and the Project Manager

Requirements

• Proven Site Manager experience with a main contractor
• Experience on industrial or commercial new builds, ideally steel frame warehouses
• Strong external works and utilities experience
• Good working knowledge of BCAR and QEHS requirements
• Valid Safe Pass and SSSP or equivalent
• Available for a December or January start

Our client is a fast-growing Irish main contractor delivering award-winning projects across a range of sectors. They are recruiting a Site Manager to lead a significant restoration and conservation project in Westport, covering the restoration of existing and historic structures alongside new build elements and external works.

Responsibilities

• Manage day to day delivery of the project from mobilisation through to completion
• Lead site teams, subcontractors, specialist trades and suppliers
• Oversee the restoration, refurbishment and conservation of existing structures to drawings and specification
• Manage the interface between conservation, restoration and new build works
• Hold specialist trades to a high standard of workmanship while respecting the character and fabric of the existing buildings
• Monitor progress, quality and programme
• Work closely with the Project Manager, engineers, design team and conservation specialists
• Resolve site issues as they arise without losing progress
• Coordinate materials, plant and resources to keep the project on programme
• Ensure works meet health and safety, quality and environmental requirements
• Keep accurate site records and documentation

Requirements

• 5+ years experience as a Site Manager or in a similar role
• Experience on restoration, conservation, refurbishment or heritage projects
• Understanding of working within existing or protected structures
• Experience coordinating specialist trades and subcontractors
• Strong on quality control and attention to detail
• Good knowledge of Irish health and safety requirements
• Able to read and work from drawings, specifications and construction details
• Proven project delivery experience in Ireland

They are recruiting a Site Manager for an apartment development in Drogheda, comprising 120 units. They have a number of further builds running across the north east.

Responsibilities

• Take day to day charge of the site, directing the workforce and specialist subcontractors
• Manage the programme across the development, coordinating the frame, envelope and fit out sequences
• Monitor quality of workmanship and finish across the development
• Take responsibility for health and safety on site, enforcing compliance daily
• Coordinate materials, plant and labour so the site has what it needs when required
• Chair subcontractor meetings covering programme, health and safety and attendances
• Manage BCAR inspections and close out actions and snags
• Pre-snag and deliver completed units for handover
• Liaise with the client, design team and Contracts Manager

Requirements

• Proven Site Manager experience with a main contractor or developer
• Apartment or multi-unit residential experience
• Strong programme management and subcontractor coordination skills
• Good working knowledge of BCAR and QEHS requirements
• Excellent attention to detail on quality and finish
• Valid Safe Pass and relevant site certifications
