Overview

BSS is recruiting on behalf of one of Irelands leading Tier 1 main contractors for an experienced Senior Pre-Construction / Estimating Manager to join their senior leadership team. This strategic role will lead the pre-construction function on major commercial, residential, healthcare, education, pharmaceutical, industrial and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the pre-construction and estimating department.
• Develop winning tender strategies for major construction projects.
• Oversee preparation, review and submission of competitive tenders.
• Manage multiple high-value bids simultaneously.
• Coordinate estimating, planning, design, commercial and operational teams.
• Review drawings, specifications and contract documentation.
• Identify project risks and value engineering opportunities.
• Build relationships with clients, consultants and supply chain partners.
• Present tender recommendations to senior management.
• Mentor and develop estimating staff.

Requirements

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering or similar.
• 10+ years estimating/pre-construction experience.
• Previous Tier 1 main contractor experience highly desirable.
• Proven success delivering major project tenders.
• Strong commercial, contractual and procurement knowledge.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
