Site Civil Engineer (Setting Out)
A well-established Main Contractor with a strong pipeline of work is seeking a Site Civil Engineer
for a housing development in Kilcoole, Co. Wicklow.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with 3+ years’ experience to join a busy
project team delivering high-quality residential units.
Key Responsibilities
– Setting out for all elements of the works including groundworks, roads, drainage, and
housing units
– Interpreting drawings and specifications to ensure accurate construction on site
– Liaising with subcontractors, site management, and design teams
– Ensuring works are completed in line with project programme and quality standards
– Maintaining accurate site records, including as-built surveys and reports
– Assisting with quality control and health & safety compliance on site
– Monitoring and coordinating subcontractor activities
Requirements
– Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
– Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a site engineering role (residential/civils preferred)
– Strong setting out experience using Total Station and GPS equipment
– Good knowledge of Irish construction standards and site practices
– Excellent communication and organisational skills
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
